Iridium OpenPort
with 3 voice lines & 128 kbps internet access
The Iridium OpenPort is the only truly global -- north pole to south pole -- voice and broadband internet marine communication
system. If your marine yacht needs multiple satellite voice lines, Iridium OpenPort offers 3 simultaneous voice lines that can be
configured as normal postpaid, Captain's postpaid (with PIN protection), or Crew Calling (for use with prepaid scratch cards).
"Always-on" Internet access with speeds up to 128 kbps is available using a conventional Ethernet port. OpenPort Internet access
is billed the megabyte of data transfer -- not connection time. Various rate plans are available.
The Iridium OpenPort system does not require professional installation. It has a pole-mounted 22.44” diameter antenna unit with a
20-meter antenna cable (see above left) and a below decks indoor unit (see above right). The indoor unit uses conventional AC
power. The three voice ports have seperate RJ-11 phone port on the indoor unit that can be connected to the conventional phone
equipment of your choice or used in concert with the Captain's desk phone (included) or Crew desk phone (included).
