- Talking Head VideoPhone Feed from Iraq via Inmarsat -
Throughout my seven weeks in Kuwait and Iraq, the
videophone equipment
exceeded my performance expectations. It was a breeze to set up, and
traveling with the equipment was easy. U.S. Army vehicles had plenty of
room for the gear, allowing me to concentrate on shooting video, and
getting the story, not the equipment. It was a
harsh environment to take
sensitive
electronics into, but daily cleanings, and dustings kept us on the move.
When we did stop and set up to go live, or feed, I usually looked for a
patch of gravel to set up on...It seemed to help keep the dust out of
the
gear. Tuning the phones in for peak signal was always a quick process,
and connecting to the
talking head
unit couldn't have been easier. Usually,
I could unpack the gear, dial-up to the satellite, and begin broadcasting
inside of 10 minutes. The ease of use and reliability of the equipment
cannot be stressed enough. I was able to have the equipment function
well in conditions that halted military operations. I highly recommend this
equipment to anyone looking for a portable, dependable system to deliver
high quality video from ANYWHERE in the world.

- High Speed Video via Satellite from the Amazon -
"DTVisions is a digital video production company. On our production trips to the Brazilian Amazon for the High-Definition Documentary, Amazonia: Mother of Nature
we relied on our [Nera World Communicator] from Outfitter Satellite both for emergency communications and for
daily data transfer to our Web site.
The Nera World Communicator let us send back our daily video journals from the upper reaches of the Rio Negro deep in the indigenous lands of the Baniwa and Yanomami Indians. As video production professionals we also appreciated the ability to use our
Mac Powerbook video editing workstations directly with the Sat Phone via USB connection, so that we could capture, edit and transmit, all from the same laptop. We'd like to thank the people at Outfitter Satellite for their help. They worked hard to make sure our work got done."

- Filming "Charlie's Angels" -
"I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you again for your timely
support during the
filming of "Charlie's Angels". The satellite
product that you provided worked beautifully in the shot. It was
exactly what we needed. Had you been unable to help us, we would
have been in a desperate situation.
Your quick thinking and willingness
to help us "on the fly", no pun intended, was greatly appreciated.
I know everyone was very excited that you were able to get us what we
needed. I look forward to working with you in the future and wish
you the best of luck in all endeavors. Sincerely,
"

- Globalstar Rental Customer in northern Quebec -
We just returned from a 7 day fly-in fishing trip into the backwoods of northern Quebec. This was my sixth such trip and, for the first time, we took along a Globalstar Satellite phone which we rented from your company. I can honestly tell you that we will never again venture into the wilderness without first renting a phone from you. There is always an element of risk on these trips and that has always left the folks back home anxious and concerned until we returned. In addition, some of the guys on our trips have, in the past, worried endlessly about the well being of their wife and kids back home. Not anymore!! The
Globalstar phone and solar charger performed flawlessly allowing us to maintain contact with those we care about while still enjoying our wilderness adventure.
The phone was simple to operate and arrived ahead of schedule in a wonderful little, water resistant, carrying case.
Further, your company managed the entire transaction in a very courteous and professional manner.
We can't thank you enough, but rest assurred, we will be back and will be referring you to all of our fishing friends. In closing I would like to add that you are free to use this letter and my name to promote your product. Further, I would say to anyone venturing into areas where cell phones can't reach................you are just plain crazy if you go without a satellite phone!!!

- Iridium Rental Customer -
"I am happy to report that the...phone worked well indeed on safari
in Africa. My relatives soon found that
the [phone] was far less
expensive and far more reliable than the phones in the best hotels
in Kenya.
The Masai locals
were quite stunned when I pulled out the
phone and called home after exiting from a
hot air balloon ride over
thundering herds of zebra. A great product! Thanks again."
- Dr. Chris B. (adventure safari enthusiast)
"The phone worked great!!! Thanks for your help and expertise."
- J.B. of Anniston, Alabama (rental customer)
"Thanks -- it worked great... Save my info -- I'll need it again!"
- F.L. of Irvine, California (satellite phone rental customer)
- Inmarsat Mini-M Rental Customer -
"The Inmarsat Mini-M phone we rented has made a trip to Peru and back.
We had a microwave communications backbone made up of a number of
individual links that a
customer needed...in the Andes mountains of Peru... Everything runs on
solar power since the sites are located in the mountains... our people would
be totally isolated from any help from the technical staff here at our plant
[except that] the telephone we rented from you performed flawlessly from the
Andes mountain tops and proved to be quite valuable..."
- Paul N. (Engineering Manager, ADTRAN)
- Inmarsat M4 Customer on Mt. Kilimanjaro -
"As an owner of an outdoor adventure travel company...I
want to thank you for the use of
the satellite phone. We took a group of business executives
to Tanzania, Africa to climb
Mt. Kilimanjaro. The satellite [phone]
worked incredibly [well]. We were able to download pictures and daily
dialogue with the use of this phone to my company's web page
so that the world could follow us along on this adventure.
Our web page hits went from about a 100 a month to over
4000 per month because of the use of your phone to send
information to our page.
We will be taking one of your phones
on every adventure that we take because of its great
reliability, ease of use and compactability. Thanks for
such a great product and group of employees."
- John L. (owner of an adventure travel company)
"The phone performed quite well. I think that you could do a good
business by advertising in...medical / dental journals appealing to
professionals who need to stay in touch with their businesses... I would
be happy to talk to anyone who is interested in using the satphone."
- H.S. of Colorado (satellite phone rental customer)
- Outfitter Client Testimonial -
"I ran the system in the "satellite always" mode when
I was far out at sea,
and "cellular always" when in at port.
I was VERY impressed at the
quality and range of the Middle Eastern countries' cellular service.
As soon as I got in to range of a particular country (usually 40-50 miles out)
I would get an e-mail welcoming me to their service.
Greece had
coverage throughout all of their extensive islands.
Israel..Cypress..Egypt [worked fine]..way down the Nile
river, near Luxor, the cell service was not existant, so
I switched
to satellite and immediately received a call from home !! Amazing !! Thanks again."
- Mike B. (tourist)
"The phone worked great!!! We will be traveling back to Russia in about a month and would like to rent
it again."
- Lisa G., New York (rental customer)
- Iridium Rental Customer in Alaska -
"Six of us traveled to a small island near
Cordova Alaska last week to
construct a wilderness cabin lodge for an upcoming media camp. We were a
two hour boat ride from the nearest settlement and phone, and none of our cell
phones worked in this remote part of Alaska. Upon our arrival the bomb was
dropped that the land owner had lost the plans for the cabin kit, leaving us
with nothing but a pile of lumber and a ton of bewilderment to work through.
After having traveled three thousand miles and having taken a precious week
vacation off, we weren't about to give up and walk away.
However, we did have the phone number of the cabin kit manufacturer, and
most importantly, we had an
Iridium satellite phone provided by Outfitter Satellite.
With a few easily made phone calls, we were provided with enough
information to properly build the lodge, thus accomplishing the ambitious
goal of constructing the lodge in one week time.
Without the satellite phone
we would have had absolutely no chance to salvage the time and money spent on
being on site. And being so remote, we had the assurance that if any
accident occurred on the site, a quick call would provide rapid emergency
assistance. What a technological miracle that phone is....providing a lightweight,
easy to use, relatively inexpensive contact with the outside world from an
area as wild and remote as one can find in North America. I strongly urge
all serious outdoors people to include a satellite phone in their "must have"
equipment list, if not for the convenience, then certainly for the safety
aspects of having the availability of calling for help should an emergency
arise in any remote area."
- Boris Popov (Alaskan traveller)
- Outfitter Solar Charger Customer -
"We were very satisfied with the performance of the Sport
Solar Panel on our recent expedition to the Sabalana Islands in Indonesia.
On a traditional fishing boat, without electricity of any kind, we were able to have
daily email contact, thanks to the Sport Panel and an
Iridium phone. For its size it's a great performance.
Thank you also for the very rapid and friendly service we received when ordering the panel."

- Jericho Christian Television in Honduras -
"Excitement is high at the Headquarters of Jericho Christian Television in West Monroe,
Louisiana as final preparations begin for the first of what I pray will be many Mission
Awareness Trips. On May 4, 2002, I will be departing for Honduras with an Extreme Missionary
Adventures Team lead by Bro. Randy Pierce. We invite our site's visitors to join the team
via the internet as we carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a series of remote mountainous
villages in eastern Honduras. Using the internet, video, and satellite communications,
Jericho Christian Television plans to take our visitors on a virtual trip. I want you to
have an opportunity to look into the eyes of people lost and without hope, living without
Jesus Christ. At the same time, I want you to be able share the joy and excitement of
team members as they are able to lead people lost and in darkness into the Light.
A primary goal for Jericho Christian Television is to document the activities of the team
using digital video equipment. These documentation tapes will be used by Bro. Randy's producer
to create videos that demonstrate and detail the activities of the Extreme Missionary Adventures
Team, encouraging others to take similar missionary adventures. For our part, Jericho Christian
Television will be sharing a portion of the video footage with our site's visitors over the
next several months.
Most of the villages that the team will be visiting have never been identified on maps. There
are few roads, only mountains trails and footpaths. A seconday goal of Jericho Christian Television
will be to map the locations of the villages that this team visits for future reference by
the Extreme Missionary Adventures Teams using a GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) system.
Simply stated our actual daily track or route data will be saved continuously as we travel
and transferred to a laptop computer. The coordinates will be overlaid on pre-scanned maps
along with the names of the villages. In order that our website visitors can track the team's
travel, the map data will be transmitted at least once during the week.
For those website visitors living in Southern Arkansas, Western Mississippi, and Northeast
Louisiana, the Lamb Broadcasting Network will be reporting on the activities of the team,
hopefully including at least one live interview with Bro. Randy Pierce via satellite telephone
during our week's stay in Honduras. Visitors are encouraged to watch 'Fully Alive' which
airs, each nightly, Monday thru Friday at 7:00 P.M. on the Lamb Broadcasting Network. 'Fully
Alive' can also be viewed via the internet on this website
(www.jerichotv.org) as well as the Lamb Broadcasting
Network's website. This website will be updated nightly, time permitting with a short summary
of team activities.
Jericho Christian Television would like to express our appreciation for the assistance of
Outfitter Satellite Inc. and their staff during the development of a cost effective
and dependable communications package for supporting this trip."
